Conference Weekend in Fishlake

The muzzleloader hunt started during the middle of the week however I wasn't able to get up to Fishlake to hunt until the weekend. Kambry and I headed up Friday evening with Lila. We got to road hunt before the sun went down and we just drove up around the lake. It was such a beautiful drive we were all dying from the colors of the leaves!!! It was jaw-dropping!

There were also cows EVERYWHERE and Lila was soooo intrigued! She was nervous about them at first but shortly became obsessed with them! She started leaning towards the window and would freak out when she couldn't see them anymore or when I would roll the window up! It was a hoot! We were laughing and laughing. It was so much fun :)

The next morning Kambry stayed at the cabin with Lila while my dad and I went out to hunt. It was a fun morning and we saw some bucks but had no luck. I couldn't wait to get back to Lila I missed her so much (haha only after like 4 hours) but when we got back to the cabin they weren't there!? So we walked up to Brett's cabin thinking maybe that's where they were but nope. So finally we went over to the Hansen cabin and sure enough there they were! Grandpa doug had bacon and eggs cooking and Lila was there in her cute camo so excited to see me! It was soooo adorable she looked so cute! --Thanks kam for taking care of her!

We watched the saturday morning session of general conference with grandma micki and grandpa doug and ate delicious bacon, eggs, and toast. It was all pure heaven. Being there in the cabin surrounded by the beautiful fall colors and the vibes of fall.... aaaah it was so wonderful!
^This was the craziest most beautiful heavy fog near the bum rock on Mytoge road.^

We road hunted again that evening but this time on four-wheelers. At this time my mom had come up so she stayed at the cabin with Lila. Once again no luck, but it was an awesome four-wheeler ride through some gorgeous country! I road on the back of Kambry and Konner on the back of my dad. At one point I was videoing Kambry and I and saw a fourwheeler behind us. We both laughed and felt embarrassed because we didn't know he was behind us but it turned out he knew what we were doing and actually was going to speed up so he could be in our video! Glad he had a sense of humor because we sure got a kick out of it too!

The next morning I went out again with my dad and this time Kambry too. We had a game plan to go out a big earlier than we did the day before and hike up and over to a specific spot to see if we could watch the bucks come up to us. It worked! We spotted the bucks and got positioned for a shot. Kambry videoed me but I didn't shoot for what seemed like forever. I couldn't get comfortable and plus the deer were around 250 yards away --which is a long shot for a muzzleloader!!-- I was also hesitant because I didn't want to shoot a deer that would turn out to be smaller than the previous bucks I've got. So I wasn't sure! My dad was sitting right next to me glassing and trying to tell me which one to shoot at. There were like 4 maybe 5?? I'm not even sure haha... anyways I finally got a shot and it turns out that I missed so my dad handed me his muzzleloader and told me to shoot again! He also said something else but I could not hear him at all. My ears were ringing! So I got a second shot. My adrenaline was going crazy! It was so exciting! But I missed again. To be sure we hiked out to where the deer were and looked allllll over for blood but didn't find any.
^The view I came home to on the last morning. My heart melted!!!^

Although I wasn't successful hunting this year I still had such a fun time with my family! And getting a shot a the deer was worth it too! We spent the rest of the day lounging around the cabin. Grandma Carol and Grandpa June came up to spend the day as well so it was fun to visit with them.
We stopped in Cedar on our way home like we always do but this time met up with Drew because we hadn't seen him for a week. It was nice for us to all be back together again. He took us back to St. George and that concludes the weekend!

All things Halloweeny

Hayden & Lila's First Pumpkins
The Beveridges came down to stay with us a few weekends before Halloween! The girls (Hayden and Lila) hadn't seen each other since July so it was fun to see them together again! They are the sweetest friends. They immediately leaned toward each other as soon as they saw each other and they enjoyed playing together (kind of) haha the best they could. Lila at this point was almost 9 months old and Hayden almost 6 months old.

We planned some fun activities for the short time they were here and it turned out to be wonderful memories! We ate pizza for dinner and let the girls taste the crust and sauce. They sure loved it! Then we stripped them down into just their diapers and let them paint a mini pumpkin!! Although they were a little too small to do this, it was really really cute and fun to see them try to touch the pumpkins!

Lila however saw me dip the paint brush in the paint and put it on the pumpkin so as I handed her the brush to paint the pumpkin she put it directly back into the paint and then back towards the pumpkin. We were all mind blown!!! She had figured it out. It was amazing!! She also managed to stick the paintbrush in her mouth too, haha! But she didn't eat too much paint so it wasn't a big deal ;)

After that fun event we gave the girls a bath and put them to sleep. After they were down, we made homemade carmel to dip apples in (apples from my grandma's tree and Bill's tree!) and watched the new Tarzan movie. It was fun!

Although it was a short stay, we made some big memories and had tons of fun together!!

^Notice Hayden looking at Lila^

^And now Lila looking at Hayden haha!^

Trunk or Treat
We attended our ward's trunk or treat as Rapunzel, Flynn, and the magical sunshine flower! If you haven't seen the movie Tangled then you probably won't get it. But it was sure cute and it was really simple! I went to D.I. for literally 15 minutes and found our entire costumes! Plus we used what we already had at home too so that was easy! I loved dressing us all up. And Drew didn't mind his costume this year either so that was a win for me in my book! The trunk or treat was a blast too. We got to visit with my young women presidency (who are quickly becoming my good friends). It was a fun evening and I was impressed with how everyone dressed up!

Halloween Party in Richfield/Konner's Birthday
We got to go up to Richfield for the weekend before Halloween and also to celebrate Konner's birthday. It was a super fun weekend! We dressed up again for the family Halloween party and watched as Grandma Polly become a witch for the evening! HA HA! She did the witches brew-- which she usually does-- and Lila stared in shock! But wasn't too nervous, so that was good :)

The party was a blast! We ate delicious soup (Lila ate it too) and played some fun games. Drew and I went against each other in the bubble gum blowing contest and of course I won ;)
The next day was Konner's 14th birthday. It was on a Sunday so we attended church and got to watch him be ordained a teacher. That was really fun and neat! We headed back home to St. George later that evening after eating our favorite honey lime enchiladas that my mom makes.

Halloween Day/Evening
The next day was Halloween. It was a pretty chill day. Lila and I went grocery shopping in the morning. Then later that evening we met up with some friends for dinner and trick-or-treating! We ate homemade Olive Garden chicken gnochi soup which was delicious! We trick-or-treated to only a few houses because let's be honest, our babies are only 9 months and 14 months old HA HA. But it was fun and got me excited for when Lila gets older!

It was an early night because Lila has a bedtime around 8pm but it was fun while it lasted! Oh! Also, turns out we didn't have a single trick-or-treater where we live. So unfortunately we had 2 bags of untouched candy to eat ourselves ;)

Kate
